I purchased these on clearance at Kinko's for only $10. My nicest set of speakers at home were broken, so I replaced them with the decent set I had at my office. Well, I still needed speakers for the office and I trust Logitech, so I thought I'd give these a whirl.
I was totally impressed! No, there isn't much bass, but mids and highs are nice and clear without distortion. The shielded cables prevent interference and produce a clean low-hiss sound. Stereo separation is surprisingly good, arguably better than some of my nicer speakers.
You could always plug in a sub later on, and these are still nice to have as satellite units.
Are they sonically mindblowing? No.
Are they amazing for ten bucks? Absolutely. I recommend them for anyone needing a little sound for a small space.

My work computer has awful sound, and it'll be 2012 before IT gets around to installing new speakers. I really work better with music, so the Logitech Speakers seemed like a great deal: not too expensive with relatively good sound. When I opened the box I was impressed at how expensive they looked, and have had several co-workers stop by and admire them....and should they disappear from my desk one evening, I won't have spend an arm and a leg to get new ones. The sound quality is great for what I need, just some nice background noise at the office to cancel out all the yapping. It's safe to say these speakers have made me a happier person.

These speakers are discontinued and they sent the replacement. The ones they sent me work fine but it would have been nice to know ahead of time. They look a little different and they are much smaller.

I got these speakers free when I bought a satellite radio receiver but from what I can see in the price these are a great set of speakers for $10. I've had them for over a year and I use them all the time. Mostly music but movies and TV shows too, on my computer. They have held up very well. Only problem is with the lows, there's a bit distortion when played at a very high volume and they are light so they will somewhat move around with the lows. But an excellent set nonetheless.
