Charges iPods too... [Posted on 2008-02-25]
I was a little concerned when I first received the item that it wouldn't charge my iPod via a USB cable, because the packaging makes no mention of whether or not it will charge iPods. It specifically states on the package that it's for charging "Sansa MP3 players". So I took a chance and connected my old beat-up iPod to it, and it worked. The charging image appeared on the iPod, and my old iPod didn't explode. :)
I wanted this particular one because it is black, and the white model does not look as good in my 4Runner's interior. It's compact, and I like the glowing blue light on it that illuminates whenever the engine is on. Looks cool, especially at night. Hey, that's important...
