"snug" headphones [Posted on 2007-01-07] While their sound is excellent, these headphones are not very comfortable after wearing them only after a few minutes-they feel like they're mashing against your ears. Would not recommend buying this product
head phones [Posted on 2007-01-12] good sounding head phones, and they help to cancel out other noises in the room
Nice, but way too easy to break [Posted on 2007-09-01] For the price, and the sound quality these little headphones are perfect for using portable light MP3/iPod/cassette etc players. They fold up fairly well and are light. The sound quality is pretty darn good for the price. They look nice, are fairly comfortable and adjust to the average 6ft tall male. I had a friend who is 6'4 try them on...and for me at 6FT tall, I had to pull the speakers down 1 notch from being all the way extended. My friend who is a pretty big guy, could not get them on without possibly breaking them. All that aside, you have a little Volume control and a stereo/mono switch on the (note VERY thin cable) that is pretty darn flimbsy. But it does work and is an ah gee neato addition. As said they are good for little items, like when you are out walking/jogging, waiting for whatever reason etc. They do fold fairly well but be careful where you place them in your backpack, travel bag, suitcase etc as they are Very prone to break easily. I went through 2 of them since last year. Both luckily were returned even after using an old receipt to a local store. Please note: these are pretty good for a simple basic headphone set and that is IT, period. Yes they will handle HDTV, TV, Stereos, you name it.. but if you move around too much from where they are connected (EVEN using a REAL headphone extention cable), they can fly off your head in a heartbeat if you say bump into a chair for example and even with the included adapter it still kept falling out of my stereo headphone cable. 3 Stars cuz if your want something light and basic, they are pretty good. -2 stars cuz I had to return 2 of them that broke under normal usasge in a few months. And FYI, don't fall asleep wearing these, unless you are a motionless sleeper, as they will break eventually.
Bad choice [Posted on 2007-10-28] If you really need headphones, those Maxell are not what you want.
First, they only look nice in the picture, yet when u get them, u dont know what you purchased: a sattelite dish? frying pans? what? Certainly not headphones. They are heavy, they don't fit the ears at all, and the worst thing: they squeeze on your ears as if you are being tortured. You really get a headache after you use them. Their sound is so so, you don't expect great sound when you purchase 10 or 30 or 50$ headphones.
The only nice thing about them is the way they fold. Other than that, they are not a good choice, I bought JVC last year from amazon for 5$, they were much much much better. Yes 5$.
Comfortable but fall apart [Posted on 2008-05-26] I found these to be fairly comfortable, and the volume control is convenient, but I ended up going through three pairs.
On the first pair, one of the wires eventually disconnected inside the earpiece, leaving it with sound in only one earpiece. The second and third pairs (which I purchased at the same time with the idea of having one for the computer and one to carry around) didn't last as long (perhaps a few months each). In both of them, the insulation around one of the wires had (or developed? I'm not sure how this happened) a cut in it, and the insulation eventually separated from itself, exposing the wire. The wire then eventually frayed away, again leaving the headphones with sound in only one earpiece. Also on the third one, one of the pieces attaching the earpiece to the headband broke (before the wire frayed), but I was able to swap it out with the same piece from the second pair.
