Customer Reviews:

Best earbuds I've ever tried...if you add foam cushions [Posted on 2008-03-27]
I picked up a pair of these recently for very cheap. Not from Amazon, but I'm going to post here because I think the reviews for this on here don't do it any justice.

Upon initial listening, I was unimpressed with how they sounded. The mids and highs were very clear, but the bass left a lot to be desired. However, I tried a little experiment by putting on foam covers from other earbuds I had, since I knew that those things make a huge difference in the bass response for earbuds. WOW! What a difference. These earbuds now have deep, strong bass and they sound excellent. Why there weren't foam things included with these earbuds, I don't know. They certainly gave a lot of other accessories.

With the accessories they are easily worth $25, if you can find some foam things (not sure what to call them, haha). I do generally prefer this open style to the in-ear style.

PS I've tried many earbuds before, including the Shure E2c, E3c, Entymotic ER-6 and ER-6i, various Sony ones, stock earbuds from mp3 players, etc.

Good as regular earphones but not for phone. [Posted on 2008-03-27]
I bought these headphones because i thought they were a 2.5mm headphones that i could use with my cellphone. It's a 3.5 mm headphone that comes with a 2.5mm adaptor.

When I tried it out with my cellphone, music only came out of one ear since it isn't a "stero" adaptor.

The sound was good, but it didn't fit well in my ears.

It did come with a lot of accessories, but I'm dissapointed that it doesn't really work it a cellphone. Whenever I plugged it in, my phone recognized it as a microphone/earphone headset and went to voice command each time - even though there is no microphone on this since they are earphones.

So, if you're looking to buy this as regular headphones, they're decent.. But if you want them for your cellphone... look elsewhere.

good sound, decent comfort, questionable durability [Posted on 2008-04-10]
sound: great for a $20 headset. Better than stock earbuds

comfort: ok. They get a little tiresome after an hour or two in my ears. They fit pretty well, though lying down they tend to fall out.

durability: only recently got these, but the cable sheath looks pretty chintzy. Luckily, these babies have a lifetime warranty, so it really shouldn't matter too much.

Tough design, weak performance [Posted on 2008-06-02]
These metal alloy earphones look unique and help you to stand out from the crowd. However, they are no better than the Coby earphones that came with my player. The stems are very thin and slippery making it unnatural feeling when trying to put them on. Once you get them on you will be startled by the chilly sensation from the metal (depending on the ambient temperature of course). Sound quality is on the low side and thin sounding. Bass was not warm or punchy, and highs not soaring and sparkling. An unfortunate example of form over function.

Fell apart [Posted on 2008-06-17]
The sound and fit are fine and I do like the cable length. However, after four months the left bud fell apart. The rubber gasket came loose then finally fell off and I can't get it to stay on. Sure, I can replace them because of the warranty but do I really want to bother with another of these? I'm going back to the Apple buds.
