Frustrated [Posted on 2008-10-01] From the information provided we did not realize we would need a DVD drive. Our machine has a CD rom, but the program would not load. So in addition to the cost of the program we had to spend money on a piece of hardware.
works well [Posted on 2008-10-02] works well, seamlessly. I am finally able to open excel and word docs. For home use, I don't think any of the more expensive versions are needed.
Easy to Use, I like it [Posted on 2008-10-03] Basically like using the same product from PC. The Mac iWork programs (eg. Pages, Numbers) are not compatible in many instances (files cannot be uploaded as gmail attachments, for example) so I like this format.
Very annoying... [Posted on 2008-10-05] The new Microsoft Office is definitely flashier than any of the older versions, but I'm very disappointed with the functionality of it all, especially Excel and Word. I need to use the Data Analysis tool pack for many of my classes and it is not compatible with the new Excel which has been a real headache.
Gets the job done [Posted on 2008-10-06] I purchased Office 2008 because my Mac didn't come with any sort of functional word processing. I was skeptical because of the other reviews, and I have only used Word to create and send documents - for which it has worked just fine. The only thing is that I have to save the document in ".doc Compatibility Mode" to email it, which is very easy though slightly annoying.
