Omnivibe exellent sound small flaw! [Posted on 2008-05-05]
The product took a little bit to arrive but not too long. My wife and I were very excited as I had won an Ipod nano 4gb at work. I had songs on it already and when Omnivibe arrived we unpacked it and connected our nano to it immediately. WE were surprised at the full sound it gave as soon as we hooked up the ipod to it. Even tho nano is very slim, the Omnivibe has a knob to adjust for thinkness of the Ipod connecting to it to hold it snug in place, so we didn't even need to use the adaptor that came with our nano. It works great! Volume and sound are excellent while connecting the ipod on the cradle. Next we tried to connect an external mp3 player (creative labs zen vision m) and that's where we found possibly the reason for the great price this unit is being sold at now. Using the included external wire for other mp3 players gives sound only on the left channel. Nothing comes out of the right. I thought it may be a faulty cable so I used another one I had for external speakers for my Zen and still same results. Sound only comes out of 1 speaker. But using the cradle both speakers work fine and sound very very good. Overall we are extremely happy with price and performance while using the cradle.

This is hands down the best docking unit sound system available for the price. The sounds fills up the room completely, and we are a very music oriented family. We have 3 receivers (amps) in the house, Yamaha, Pioneer, and Onkyo; and purchased two of these for the hall, and the workout room. Best choice, and amazing price!!!

When this first came out it was priced at over $200. It was a good deal then, excellent sound quality and styling! Now that it's selling for 1/4th the original amount it's a smoking deal. Too bad Vanns customer service sucks a bit!

Who would imagine that this small docking system could beat out the others? Compared to Bose and Kipslich I would rate this a close third. When it comes to value, I would have to put the $60 price tag ahead of the $400 price tag. Enjoy!
