This price for this unit makes it quite enticing, however, as an owner of one of these, I would be cautious about purchasing for the following reasons-
-It takes about 20 seconds to initialize,
-The software is quite weak,
-There are gaps between tracks
-The random functions only within a folder, not within all of the music files- so essentially you have to listen to one album at a time or throw everything in a giant unorganized folder if you want some variety-
-Battery life is 4 hours tops, and is significantly diminished when using the backlight.

If you can spend some extra money for an ipod nano, I would definately recommend it.

I have owned this product for almost 2 years and the ONLY reason--I cannot send it back!! "Notorious P.A.T." stated that it takes 20 seconds to initialize. I WISH! Mine takes anywhere from 1 to 2 minutes!

The 3-inch CD says it is the "Driver for Windows". The only drivers I saw are for the Photobank Jukebox and MediaScan. Nothing for the unit itself.

And besides when you insert the CD, it does not start up. I always have to go into the Windows Directory to find it. That's how I found out the unit drivers are not there.

Plus, the files on the CD are for Windows 98--NO upgrades. I believe this is one of the reasons why the unit is selling so cheap.

The other reason? After doing an extensive web search I found that the company (NHJ Limited) went out of business soon after distribution.

So please! Save your money. Better yet, put a little extra with it and purchase an IPod instead--or even a Zune! Anything but this piece of junk!

P.S.: I guess this product wouldn't be so bad if the company would have at least supported software upgrades.
