For people that like the Apple iPod buds - which is basically no one [Posted on 2008-05-28] I purchased these as a possible replacement for a dead pair of Sony MDR-J10 h.ear Headphones "with Non-Slip Design" from my local Apple Store. I had a hunch they might suck but thought Nike would put out a better product than this. I was definitely wrong. The fit is awkward and as is common to most average in-ear headphones, they suffer the malaise of punchy highs, a mediocre mid range, and a dead low range.
The posture in the ear, on the ear, and the width of the bud is just awkward and doesn't reward with better sound, comfort, or anything else I could think of. The only thing worthy of mentioning is the flexible form of the ear hook which is good for rough and tumble play in a gym bag, etc. Nike only really promotes the ear hook as the defining factor of these on the back of the box, now it's easy to see why.
