You can't ask for a better quality product for the price. it serves its purpose and then some. it's easy to program and operate and has many functions. i like the back light at night. my only complaint is that i don't like the location of the volume and channel up and down buttons. they are not located directly parallel to each other; but rather on a slight angle and sometimes if you're not looking at the remote you can miss the button you're going for. overall a great value and i would definitely recommend this item.

I am very specific in my av needs, and i am very picky over what people would see as small details. This remote is capable of just about everything you will need it to do and more.
I am not afraid to try out a product and return it within a stores return period if i am not satisfied, meaning I have recently been driving the wife crazy purchasing and returning several different remotes over the last week or two.
After a lot of testing, including the universals i am using throught the rest of my home, the one for all learning remote is quite good in several areas over the others:
1. Very easy to set up, including learning keys and device keys as well.
2. Kepad is ergonomic and unlike some, the actual keys light up so you can actually read them in the dark.
3. Simple for the entire family to use, even the wife and kids can use it,.... a remote doesnt have to be overly complex to figure out to be powerful.
4. The Home Theater Button! What a gift from the remote gods! With one button, your volume buttons can control the receiver, the directional keys and numbers can control your digital cable dvr, menus and all, your shuttle controls can control your dvd player, and you can then map specific funtions to this mode from other devices to control tv inputs,surround modes etc. This is what makes this remote stand out from the rest!!! You do not need to constantly switch back and forth between modes to change the channel, look at guides, raise or lower volumes...sweet.
As for some of the complaints, a lot of them listed are actually things easily done with this remote with just a little time and patience, with out resorting to drastic measures. I have called customer service at 4:45 pm eastern, got right through, and they were very helpful.
As far as sony products go, a lot of complaints about them not working well with this remote, well i just returned to sony universals, and neither one worked my new sony str-dg710 receiver out of the box, and none learned as eaisily as my One For All did, without even having the code, it learned every function i needed it to, I havent even tried to upgrade it, no need to!
All in all, a great overall product, that I would completely recommend to a family member or friend.

The remote works well and the tech staff was very helpful when I called for help in programming an older DVD model. All other equipment was quickly recognized by the remote. The only complaint is that the buttons are a bit hard to read (black lettering on an opaque background) if you need reading glasses. There is a red backlight that helps somewhat, but I think solid buttons would make it easier to see the printing. Would definitely recommend this universal remote.

This universal remote works as advertised and is great for the money. Don't expect a very fancy display. We had the same model for about 3 years before enough drops to the floor damaged the LCD and the volume buttons wore out. The replacement works great. We have it controlling a cable box, Sony TV, old Kenwood receiver, Sony DVD player, and Zenith VCR. Macro features and programmable buttons work well.

I purchased this remote to replace the same model after having the first for 3+ years. I was delighted to see that it was slightly updated to function even better. If this one lasts as long as my first one I will be extremely happy.
