:( [Posted on 2007-01-05] Doesnt work completely. Have to jiggle it for it to work. Sometimes doesnt work at all.
Does what it is supposed to do [Posted on 2007-01-08] I use this drive on our macs and share files with PCs. It always does just what it is supposed to do.
Case has positive and negative aspects [Posted on 2007-02-20] 512 MB has been sufficient for me to transport all sorts of files for daily use. I have had this unit for a year or more. The electronics have been flawless. The case broke open and I had to glue it back together with epoxy. It fits well in my key wallet. The end comes off and opens more easily than some thumb drives, but you do need to watch where you leave the end so you can find it again quickly.
plug and go [Posted on 2008-03-03] I've owned this little guy for about 2 1/2 yrs now and am very pleased with it. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because yes, the casing is very cheap. However, the price was very well justified and I have no problems loading info from one computer to the next. I even switch it between XP and Vista and it loads just fine. I guess it's a win/lose with these flash drives for some people. For me, it does what it's suppose to do - store my files - and doesn't load any funny programs into my computer so I would definitely purchase another PNY flash drive.
A cheap flash drive that eventually brakes [Posted on 2008-04-30] One year ago when I started college, I was required to buy a flash drive in order to attend one of my classes. This flash drive worked rather well for me until a few months ago when I had trouble getting it to work, sometimes it would work and sometimes it would simply keep demanding me to reformat it. The flash drive does its purpose well, so if you're only using this for casual use than this is the best bet for you. If you're using it constantly, avoid this flash drive at all costs. I recently lost all of my files (including a important project) to this so I would find something better to hold important files. This is the first product I have ever bought from PNY and it will certainly be the last one as well. Any brand besides PNY would probably do better anyway.
