Customer Reviews:

Awesome! [Posted on 2007-07-08]
These are quite possibly the best headphones I have ever owned. It's not just the retro styling, but they are actually very well constructed and feel--and sound--more substantial than other consumer headphones at a similar price. I'm going to buy another pair to keep stowed away so I won't get upset of this pair breaks.

Really cool and surprisingly great sound! [Posted on 2007-07-09]
Full user opinion
I must admit that I bought these more for their looks than any hope of great sound. Boy was I in for a pleasant surprise. These headphones have a wonderful lively sound with crisp highs and a nice present midrange. The bass provides an excellent thump without being overbearing. They do not have the "wonky" sound that other inexpensive closed headphones possess. They are also very comfortable on your head and provide a nice level of isolation. The only problems I have are that they are uncomfortable to hang around your neck and they are a bit sweat inducing thanks to the vinyl ear cups.

I opted for the light blue model since I felt that they provided a nice balance between super-retro and still wearable on the street.

Overall they provide an excellent cost-sound ratio and are highly recommended.

Nice headphones but wear too fast [Posted on 2007-12-06]
I've had these headphones for about 8 months now and have been very happy with them both in sound and comfort. I wear them almost daily and bring them with me everywhere I take my MacBook Pro. The build quality is good overall, but the ear pads have begun to wear-out really quickly in the last month. The black vinyl covering of the cushion is cracking and becoming very uncomfortable. I Googled around looking for some replacement pads and the only ones I found were directly from Panasonic for over $16 each... Very nearly the full price of a new pair of headphones once I replace both and pay shipping and taxes.

I've ordered a pair of Sony MDR-V6 Monitor Series Headphones with CCAW Voice Coil to replace these, judging by their reviews they last for years and have outstanding sound. I figure they'll be worth the higher price. I really did love these headphones until they started to break...

Very good audio, but hits a nerve [Posted on 2008-01-09]
I was so excited to get these headphones from all the great reviews I read. And I do enjoy them a great deal. They look great, the sound quality is superb, the wire only goes to one side, and they are extremely light. The slide design is very nice, except that it has to be adjusted back to the desired position every time they are put on my head. I have only had them for a couple weeks, so I am not fully sure of the quality yet, but I like how the wire that runs from earpiece to earpiece is wrapped in some kind of cord. The earpieces fit over my ears nicely, and the way they are shaped inside gives plenty of room.

The three complaints I have, to make it 4 star, is the headband over the top is pretty rigid and narrow, so that can be a pain. I think I can get used to that though. The other problem is that there is no airflow around the pads, so they can get kind of hot. I noticed other reviews said the same thing. The third and most problem is that the earpad seems to push on a nerve ever so slightly where my jaw connects to my skull. It is light enough not to notice at first, but with extensive wear I get quite a pain in that area. Oddly enough, it only seems to be on the left side though, so I'm hoping it goes away with time. Maybe the pads will soften some (They are kind of hard now) and that should help. It would be better if the pads were wider to put pressure on a larger area, but obviously that can't change now.

Overall, a great pair of headphones, but with some wearability issues. It didn't seem like anyone else had the same problem, but my coworker tried them and it did the same thing for him. We'll see...

Show those ear bud wearing wimps where its at!!! [Posted on 2008-02-15]
WOW!!! These cans pump out some incredible sound. Have been wanting these for some time, but could not get them because of my lack of money. Finally got the money and ordered them and once I saw that package on my front door I tore open that box and immediately tried them out with a few of my standard testing songs, Beethoven's 9th symphony, Led Zepplin's Stairway to Heaven, and Bostons Foreplay-Long Time. I am extremely impressed with the overall sound quality and quality of construction of these cool looking headphones. Definitely beats those ridiculous i-buds that everyone and there mother seems to be wearing. Do yourself a favor, if you do not want to look like a complete tool, get yourself a pair of these and loose the buds. pEace oUt. . .
