iPods are expensive. When I think of all the accessories and things I bought for my iPod I would say really expensive. This case protects that investment. It's amazingly sturdy, as hard as a motorcycle helmet and comes with a easy to carry strap. I really feel like I could put my iPod in there and drop it from a good height and it would still be ok. Not that I'm going to do that but the case is really that great, like a mini black steel briefcase. It may be water proof, I haven't tested it yet but I wouldn't be surprised because of the high quality of it. Another great feature is that you can plug your head phones directly into the case and there's a wire inside that connects to the iPod's audio jack, so you can listen to music without taking it out of the case. You can't changes songs or adjust the volume or go up and down the menu but you can listen. My iPod connects to my car stereo through my glove box; I love putting it in this case so it doesn't get banged up while I'm driving. It keeps my 80 GB iPod very safe and even fits snuggly when it's dressed in an iSkin.
Really sturdy excellent for travel, small iPod sized case.

I bought this item for my IPod 30G 5.5 edition. The top of the Ipod was not secure in the so I returned it. A friend has an older 60G and it fit fine. I was disappointed becase I saw how well it had worked for the 60G IPod

I tend to leave my Video iPod in my purse where it bumps up agianst all the other junk I have. Was affraid of something ruining the navigational tool for the iPod (circle) as a result of it roaming free in my purse - that is why I purchased the pelican case. It fits great and I LOVE that the headphones can be plugged in externally while the iPod is snug and safe. The case is rather bulky - but is a fair trade off for superb protection.

It's a good hard case. The earphone inside attachment leave little room for my U2 Edition 30GB iPod.

Though it's advertised as an Ipod exclusive case I bought a i1010 for my Sandisk Sansa e280. It fits/works perfectly with e200 series. In fact the storage pocket is perfect for carrying additional micro SD cards that allow the expansion of e200 series. The case is tough and "water resistant" as advertised. I use my MP3 player at work and I work in a harsh environment - sometimes wet, sometimes dusty, and always hard on delicate electronics. The i1010 has kept my e280 dry, clean, and safe from the hazards that tend to destroy the e200 series delicate LCD screen. My only criticisms are minor - it's bulky - roughly the size of an old school cassette walkman and it's latch - the case's weak link, strangely underbuilt compared to the rest of the case. Like I said minor but if you want to use your MP3 outdoors you can't be the i1010.
