my favorite dvd player [Posted on 2008-08-12] This is a solid and impressive dvd player. I bought mine about three years ago, it was the best deal at the time, and with a code I punched into the remote I made my unit region free. It's played everything I've thrown at it. It's sleek and attractive, runs well and I really have no complains about it. I give it two thumbs up.
Slim DVD player and still has S-VIDEO [Posted on 2008-08-27] I wasn't looking for anything fancy when I purchased this DVD player. I needed a DVD player with a slim profile, still has S-VIDEO and is cheap; this fit the bill and works great. I also gave one to my sis for x-mas a couple of years ago and she hasn't had any problems with it. Many DVD players are no longer shipping with the S-VIDEO port. If you have an older TV with no HD ports like HDMI or Component but still want decent video quality, this is should do the job just fine. It's also slim and is not ugly. I've been using it for a year now with no issues and my sister has gone 2 years with hers with no issues either.
Great Buy!! [Posted on 2008-09-15] This is a great DVD player. It even plays my "home-made" discs. That makes it a must-have! It's SO good, that I've recommended it to all my friends & I've even bought one for my parents.
Great DVD Player [Posted on 2008-10-02] This is a great little DVD player I've had since 2004. Originally got it due to not having a DVD player and wanting to start getting and watching them. Was one of the lower priced models at the time, but is still working in 2008 and reads perfectly. I also got it because it reads burned DVDs and at the time seemed to be one of the few that did that. I know everything is going HD with Blu Ray, but if you are looking for a simple DVD player I would get this one.
Worked great for only a year [Posted on 2008-10-20] I loved this machine for about the first year I had it. Now it won't turn on and my roommate's crappy chick flick is stuck in it :/
