While they might not be the most comfortable headset in the world, they do deliver superior sound and crystal clear voice. People I chat with say they sound great. The volume/mute control is in a convenient location. The lower half of the microphone is bendable which is a very useful feature that a lot of other headsets seem to be leaving out. The cord is long enough to allow a good range of motion without yanking them off your head.
They certainly aren't as comfortable as my earbuds. It would be nice if the ear pads rotated more (they only rotate about .25") or were softer to achieve a better fit. Then again, could just be that I have sensitive ears.
All in all, they are a solid product for a reasonable price. Another winner from Plantronics.
Reliable, rugged and good quality sound [Posted on 2007-12-21]
I have owned this headset for over a year. My son and I are really tough on headsets. I just now picked up my headset from the floor from under a pile of magazines and other equipment set aside none too gently in a recent effort to "clean up" my office. I have gone through a lot of headsets and have been disappointed every time, especially by the endurance of the set. This unit is pretty rugged. The sound is not audiophile quality, and the mike sometimes (rarely) has problems with ambient noise, but it is well suited for gaming and online conversation in general.

This headset is spectacular. I got it 4 days after I ordered (it was supposed to come in 10) and the headset quality is amazing. I have already set Microsoft Voice recongnition and it works flawlessly. The microphone works good for quality but the volume can be a little low (or it may just be because im listening to it throught the headset.) The audio is amazing and everything is clear. Also, THE MOST COMFORTABLE HEADSET EVER. Very light, nice pads, and comfortable grip on head. For the price this is the best headset on Amazon. Pantronics did a wonderful job. (Sturdy build as well)
My only complaint (this can be a curse or a blessing) is the length of the cord. It is too long for me because my computer is right next to me but if your computer is farther away it may work better.

Great Quality, Excellent value for money, but hurts a little after long usage [Posted on 2008-01-31]
I'll try and make this simple and to the point. This is excellent value for money and has great output and quality; but extended can cause your ears to hurt. This even after the proclamation "Optimized for gaming" is a letdown as gamers probably use this continuously more than me (I use this for listening to music)
But definitely a good buy as long as you watch the no. of hours you use it

I previously owned a logitec headphone and mic.
What I find with this piece of electronics is
1)The cushioning for the ears is comfortable making it a more comfortable for listening.
2)The mic is pretty sensitive and can even pick up sound of people who are talking at the far end of the room.
