Unbelievable price [Posted on 2008-09-08] I priced the PA RM6750 system at my local big stereo store where it was on clearance at $400. I was a little concerned that the Amazon price was exactly HALF of their sale price- something must be wrong! However, it is in fact the real deal and has a great sound. I'm very pleased. Delivery was fast and efficient. Thanks- I feel like I got a steal of a deal.
Great Speaker Package [Posted on 2008-09-19] I bought these speakers a little less than a month ago in my first foray into home theater. I originally was going to go with a HTiB but decided that a separate receiver and speakers was the better option. Now, I'm not an audiophile by any means, but I like to have quality equipment. Purchasing these speakers was definitely a good buy. I can't believe the big sound that comes out of these tiny speakers. The sub sounds good to me. I hooked it up as "option #2" from the polk manual, and that has worked fine so far. I can do nothing but recommend these speakers to anyone. Also, I found the best price for them($[...]) at [...].
disappointed [Posted on 2008-09-27] I bought this item based on reading the reviews. I'm pretty dissapointed. It's Ok for watching movies, but, unless it's for a bedroom, or you have never had a real sound system, it's not sufficient for music. There is very little base. You can barely tell the sub is on. If you crank up the volume on the subwoofer enough so you can hear it, it just rumbles, which is not pleasing to the ear. They are cheap, so maybe my expectations were too high, or maybe these just weren't meant for music. I may try using my big JBL speakers for the front pair and not use the subwoofer. I've read the the next model up has a better subwoofer.
Nice system [Posted on 2008-09-30] New theater system in basement, fairly small area (12w by 10). Sound absorbing walls. Paired with Onkyo SR-606, Samsung LN40A450 flat screen, HDMI. Great pictures, great sound. Working back through my DVD collection now to see what i've been missing.
Good speaker for small room, hookup option #2 sounds much better than hookup option #1 [Posted on 2008-10-03] The speakers work great in a small room (in my case, 15 ft by 20 ft). The speakers have three hook up options. I tried option #2 first and then option # 1 after my subwoofer cable arrived. They sound much better using option #2. What a waste of my money to get the subwoofer cable!
I read previous reviews about lack of low-frequecy male vocal sound from the speakers. That is exactly my experience with option #1 hookup. Using option #2, it sounds good for both movie effects and music. I have no problem with low-frequency male vocal sound at all. Actually, I need to tune down the subwoofer volume to reduce the low frequency sounds.
