Good quality full-size CD jewel cases [Posted on 2007-08-29]
In my experience, the RCA full-size CD jewel cases are of good quality. Although they are not exactly inexpensive, they are not as fragile as jewel cases made by other manufacturers. Having an extensive classical music CD collection, I have found the RCA jewel cases to be very useful as replacements for those jewel cases which have become cracked as a result of rough handling or accidents. I also prefer using full-size CD jewel cases to slim CD cases for storing home-made music CDs.

I was looking for ten empty jewel cases, the big size, not the slim cases which are so prevalent these days, so I decided to look on Amazon. I found exactly what I was looking for, cases to replace cracked or broken cases from my music collection.
The cases pictured are not the same as the cases that I received, in that the cases I received are made totally with clear plastic. The plate where the disc sits is clear not black plastic. This fact did not bother me at all because once the disc insert is in place both versions look the same.
If you're looking for full size replacement jewel cases, look no further.
Very disappointing purchase [Posted on 2008-02-08]
More than half of these CD jewel boxes were broken. It did not appear to have happened in shipping (although they were packed haphazardly, at best). They were all shrink wrapped together and appear to have been broken before they were shipped. Unfortunately, they were meant to be divided up and hold CD gift certificates, so I didn't discover the damage until a couple days before Christmas, when I removed the shrink wrap and a shower of plastic pieces fell out. Breakage included the inserts as well as the boxes. Too late to return them, so I used those I could, but they sure were NOT the bargain they had seemed to be.

Item pictured does not match what is actually sent. You will get clear cases sent instead of the regular black backed style as shown.

The product is actually fine, a jewel case is a jewel case. The problem here is that you will not receive the product in the image above. You will receive a 10-pack of cd cases with clear trays (not black). The description says "clear plastic" which Amazon intends to mean that the entire product is clear plastic and not just the outer shell. Two more words in the bullet point would have cleared it up. They will refund your purchase and shipping once you notice, though.
