I bought this to keep my modded remote/nunchuck in (I painted them and backlit the A button and the thumbstick). It's solid and the latch is secure. The only downside for me is that the foam liner fits a bit snug and could rub off the pain job, so I had to file it down. Also, there's not a cutout for the nunchuck's thumbstick so it's just smashed down. Since I backlit it I didn't want it to break so I had to cut out the hole myself. If it wasn't for that, I would have scored it a 5/5.
Great Case - But, Had to Modify It a Little [Posted on 2008-02-17]
I will try to be as objective as possible.
On the positive side: We drive a truck over-the-road and the cases (we purchased 2 of them) provide excellent protection for the remote and the knuckle.
On the down side: We had to modify them as the holes cut out for the knuckle were too small. We were afraid that by "forcing" the case closed it would damage the "joystick" on the knuckle as it was forcing it to be bent all the way back and in a constant bind.
Also the remote will only fit if the rubber protective sleeve is removed from the remote.
It was easy for us to modify using our Dremel Mototool with a sanding drum. We just opened up the "foam" part that cushions the knuckle by making the hole larger so that they fit sideways instead of up and down. Works perfect now!
