Customer Reviews:

I LOVE IT! [Posted on 2008-08-11]
I love this mp3 player! Its the first thing I pick up in the morning! I love it vs the ipod touch because you can listen to the radio and more and it hooks up with my phone that's like the sweetest thing! I want to give a big hug to all the samsung people who make it so helpful for music heads like me! I love my p2 and thank you Amazon for having it a very very good price! so to all who dont have this mp3 you"re missing the best think playing music right now!

Best Mp3 Player [Posted on 2008-08-18]
I was a was a little bit worried it would not meet my expectation but after a summer trip across the county i must say i am very impressed. I personally use a stereo bluetooth headset from samsung and i love it. The only downside i have found is that the music store built into the music player/organizer does not work if you are in the US. Make sure you go to Samsung's web site to do the firmware updates to get themost from this device.

Nice features, pretty powerful [Posted on 2008-08-18]
I've owned this gem for 9 months. I've updated it to the firmware upgrade (5.08 at this time) which added recording features for FM & voice. The sound is very good, the video is sharp and clear. I especially like the wide-screen aspect ratio. The touch screen is sometimes gets unintended commands, but I've gotten used to being a bit more careful when selecting a feature. So that's not so much of an issue.

I would suggest attaching a clip to it as soon as you get it. You'll want something to prevent it from slipping out of your pocket. Mine has gotten a little banged up, but works fine. I use one of those clips you get with a plastic badge. That clip has definitely saved a lot more dings.

The battery life is less than advertised. Especially watching a movie. I may not have the display set up for efficient power usage, but I'm not using bluetooth either. Also, the software makes creating playlists a bit cumbersome. I expect that can be fixed in a software upgrade. It's not a function of the device itself. Overall - a great little player. Has extras such as an alarm, address book, text viewer, games, calendar, calculator. A great little device. I'm already looking for the 16... make that 32Gb player.

The only things keeping it from a 5 star rating is the battery life and playlist software.

LOVE, LOVE LOVE my Samsung! [Posted on 2008-08-20]
I recently got this MP3 Player as a birthday gify and, it was one of the better gifts I have gotten in some time. It is so compatible with my PC and my Windows Media player that I did not even need to load the software that came in the box. My PC read it and I have complete control over what goes on and comes off. I know this will make me a target but, I think this product is WAY better than an iPOD! Nevermind the price difference, if you are a person who is into music, I am sure you have a little more than the average person on your PC. Im not sure but, if you get an iPOD, dony you have to convert those flies over to iPOD and then, maybe even have to BUY some of them through iTUNES?!?! I have something like 2000 songs on my PC! Thats a LOT of cash to drop AFTER the price of the iPOD. So, my only regret is now I have to buy the 8 gig Samsung because I have so much music

Totally Satisfied!!! [Posted on 2008-08-27]
I must say that I am very pleased with my purchase of the "P2" Samsung player. It is easy to use, nice color 3 inch screen top qualty as far as clarity is concerned. Clear sound, plus Samsung has provided it's customers with upgrades to improve your "P2" over time. I feel as though it was money well spent, and for those who are skeptical about purchasing the "P2" due to the fact the "Ipod Touch" is being greatly worshipped. Give it some thought they are basically the same. But the "P2" is like half the price, so be smart and save your money :-)
