Digital volume would be better [Posted on 2008-08-08] The Sangean DT-210V works very well indoors where I need to use it the most. Strong reception for both FM and AM. My only dislike about the unit is that the volume control is an analog wheel, instead of a digital button like the rest of the controls. It's too easy to bump when in a pocket, and can't be locked.
Great Product [Posted on 2008-08-09] This Radio was worth it I have been listening to it for weeks with the same batteries. The reception is awesome for a pocket radio, plus it has a built in speaker for emergency situations.
Excellent radio! Worth the $ [Posted on 2008-08-09] I am a horse trainer. I listen to talk radio all day while I ride, and I go through a few radios every year. The clips break..the reception is bad, they fall apart etc.
I invested in this Sangean, and it's perfect! I carry it in a cell phone holder to protect it. The settings lock, which is good because riding horses tend to knock the radio around. I also love the speaker. Remember the OLD DAYS when you could actually have a small radio playing, sitting near by while you did something else? Well, here it is.
I have zero complaints, and I am HARD on radios. I wear one for at least 6 hours a day, most of that time is riding horses. I highly recommend this radio.
great radio [Posted on 2008-08-10] This is a great radio. I use this radio all day long listening to the FM stations in the 88.whatever to the low 90(s) (smaller power, non-ClearChannel noise:) I occasionally tune into some AM stations, but not much. I work in Carmel Valley and p/u the power house KGO am station out of San Francisco quite well to crystal clear. I use only headphones. As an electrician, I place the radio in my tool bags, throw the little lock switch (keeps the settings locked - volume still free) and listen all day long. I don't use the stock headphones - not sure how they're supposed to work. The sound quality is good for a little (2)AAA radio - does not sound like mice, sounds better than ipod. You would think that large companies wouldn't give a damn about little am/fm radios anymore - not the case. This is a well thought out little unit. I'll probably buy one or two more for back up. me=Gus in Salinas, C.A
