This is my second pair of these headphones and I love them. The original pair was finally run over too many times with the office chair after 2 years. The sound quality if excellent is the headset is comfortable to wear during long sessions. If you are listening to music or playing a game that has no chat and you don't need the micropone boom, just pivot it up and it gets out of the way nicely. The recorong quality of the mic is also very good and all my freinds can hear me load and clear. In a few years when this one is beaten beyond repair, I know what brand I will be buying again!

1) Best voice chat & gaming headset ever for very extended use, you can wear it all day and be comfortable...
2) Quality mic, you will be the most clearly heard in voice chat.
3) This 161 model in particular is perfect for me, because it doesn't totally isolate you from outside sound by completely covering your ear. You can still hear people from another room calling for you if there is some issue.

I used to own a pair of Plantronics before these and when something got loose in them after a few years, I decided it was definitely time to retire them. Saw this sleek headset and I know some people who have the PC151 or some other very similar headset with good results so I figured why not. Great sound with my Audigy 2 ZS Notebook. I have CMSS on and they are definitely good for the price. They are pretty comfortable too. My ears don't hurt after a few hours like my old set. I definitely recommend them to someone looking for a good headset in this price range.
OTHER THOUGHTS: For some reason, when plugged into my Audigy the mic creates a slight and constant static. My friends only noticed it because I told them that I got a new headset and I wanted to know if there was anything out of the ordinary. They can't hear it when I'm talking, only when I'm just holding the mic down. Not an issue with the headset though, because I tested with the onboard sound and they're fine like that... no static at all. That being said, the mic still sounds better than most every other person I've heard so no big deal there.

When we bought this product we thought it would have a better microphone with it. The sound quality was great but the mic left something to be desired.

I was looking for headphones that sounded clear when I spoke because I'm a raid leader in a WoW guild and the Sennheiser Pc161 was worth it.
The sound is great, but I'm no audiophile so probably not the best judge. The microphone works well.
I only give it a 4 because I'd like it if the volume in the headphones could be adjusted a little higher. Just a little peeve, though. Overall, these are good for the price.
