Customer Reviews:

Good value [Posted on 2008-02-14]
For less than $10 this alarm clock is a very good value. It does what it is suppose to except I found the product description a bit misleading. It indicates "titanium case" and I was hoping for at least some kind of thin metal coating but the unit is entirely plastic with silver spray paint. It also indicates that there is ascending alarm volume, something I was in search for when I purchased this alarm but that is also not true. The volume does not go from soft/quite to loud, the only thing that is ascending is the alarm frequency which goes from beep, pause, beep, to constant nonstop beep. The alarm is also very very loud and there is no option to adjust it.
The blue light up feature is similar to those wall socket plug-in night light which emits a bluish green glow. The entire unit is made out of very cheap plastic and poorly put together, you can see gaps where the plastic pieces meet and places where the silver spray paint did not cover. Overall a very cheaply made clock that functions well at a very reasonable price.

Excellent travel alarm clock [Posted on 2008-03-09]
I realize that this clock has gotten mixed reviews, but I have found it to be an ideal travel alarm clock, and much better (at least for me) than the smaller clocks expressly designed to be "travel" alarms. It is only slightly larger and heavier (by an ounce or two) than the latter, and in return it has several advantages: a large time display, easy to find in your luggage, and easy to locate when you are repacking. In addition, it uses conventional AA batteries (rather than expensive and confusing watch batteries), and it is very inexpensive.

One Fatal Flaw [Posted on 2008-05-20]
Unfortunately, in spite of its low price and decent looks, this product has one fatal flaw, which was already pointed out by another reviewer. The time set/alarm set/ alarm on/ alarm off settings are all controlled by one sliding tab. What is bad about that is how VERY CLOSE these setting are to each other. If I try to set the alarm on this clock, I have to check it several times to make TOTALLY sure that it is set to "alarm on" and not "alarm set." You can double check by looking at the time display, but that is somewhat of a nuisance. In addition, I bought this clock for a nine year old child, and he surely is not going to figure out how to double check that the setting is correct, or take the time to do that every night.

I have decided to invest in decent clocks for my family. Next try is Bai Pick-Me-Up for my children, and Seiko Ultimate for myself. I'll let you know how those work out (in the product reviews). The continuing search for the perfect alarm clock...or at least one that is properly designed. Stay tuned...

Good If You Have A Hearing Problem [Posted on 2008-05-23]
I have had this alarm clock for several years now and am thinking of ordering another one - just in case. I am hard of hearing (not deaf) and looked and looked for an alarm that I wouldn't sleep through. This one gets louder and louder if you don't shut it off, which works fine for me.

I do agree with other reviewers that setting the alarm is a pain because of everything is set so close together on the setting bar. I have to check and recheck to make sure that I get it exactly right and that I haven't set PM when I wanted AM - that is my fault, but it happens more than I would like it to. Also the white lettering, alarm set, time set etc is wearing off.

All in all, it does what it is suppose to, wakes up someone who normally would sleep through a quiet alarm.

compact clock [Posted on 2008-06-16]
the digital glow clock is what I was looking for. It displays time and is easy to read. The glow is a little too bright at night but its only temporary. With a push of the button on top it lights up. A good purchase if all you want is an alarm clock.
