Don't believe the bad reviews... [Posted on 2007-02-04]
This product is GREAT!!

I just got it today @ Target, and I have 12 songs (from collection), 2 videos, and 3 photos. And I still have 64% of memory left!

All the people who says that it only holds 1-10 songs R wrong

Here's a how to on the music part:

1. Insert a CD in your computer
2. Open Windows Media Player
3. Click on copy from CD, and than press copy CD from the top. Also, select the songs you want.
4. When it's done, open my documents, click My Music, open the sub-folder that says UNKNOWN ARTIST, you'll see some CD's and songs.
5. Plug your Mini-Media player in.
6. Drag and drop these songs. When it's done unplug the USB cable
7. ENJOY!!!

Cute but a huge waste of money [Posted on 2007-02-22]
I should have bought my girls ipods.

Yes, these mini-muddles are cute in that they fit into little girl purses and pockets, but that's where the novelty ends.

First, it is NOT abundantly obvious to children how to work the controls to get where they want to be. These are kids for crimy sakes! They needs to have controls that are clear and easy. My youngest has no idea how to get to a particular song because the buttons never do what she THINKS they should do (That's a big hint to Hasbro...don't design a product from an adults point of view. Design it for a child from their point of view. A button having multiple functions is very confusing for kids). So I end up having to constantly mash those itty-bitty buttons until I can figure out where the song is for her.

Second, the process of getting music from point A to point B (point B being the mini-black-hole) is NOT a quick and easy process. Copy here, burn there, transfer to this spot, drag/drop to who knows where. Oy vey. And THEN you discover the music isn't in the correct format so you have to start all over again.

As for the 128 worth of space...128 is a piddly amount of space but it is clearly advertised on the packaging that this is the amount you're going to get. No surprises there. Now if I could only get the darn music into the player without giving up and chuckin' it to the dog to play with.

An ipod might be expensive, but Apple certainly doesn't cause this consumer the grief and frustration that Hasbro has.

A good buy....in my opinion [Posted on 2007-03-05]
I brought one for my 14 year old son (at his request) for Christmas and he loves his. I decided I wanted a mp3 player, but decided to get one of these for myself just so that I could get adjusted to the technology. So far, it works great for me. I have about 25 - 30 songs on mine and it still has a little more memory left. I made sure I deleted the video clips that were installed on it before I started adding music since they take up a lot of space. I will admit that it took me about 10 - 15 minutes to figure out how to get the music on in. (thank goodness for a 14 year old to help out) But once I got the hang of it, it was a breeze. I will probably buy better headphones but I think it was a good buy overall.

Cute lil thing [Posted on 2007-03-20]
This is a cute little toy for my daughter my only gripe was that it doesn't hold alot of songs,I got about 13 on it and thats not much to a 10 yr old girl - after reading and trying to decide one from another I must have missed how many songs you can put on this thing. It is a cool lil toy for her but she will definatly need an upgrade by next christmas. Good for starters!'

Mini Media Player [Posted on 2007-04-27]
First of all, I am logged on a different name so I used a Kid's Review Form.
Ok now to the product. In my opinion this is one of the best MP3's available.
I will list some of the pros and cons and tell why I like this so much!
PROS
It is simple to operate and use.

It is TINY and it costs less than others (because of size NOT quality)

It can play MP3 files,WMA files, video converter converts MPEG, AVI, & WMA files to AMV format so you can watch videos on your player, holds standard JPEG images files, and has a built in FM radio station that you can record
from!

Dual headphone jacks so two people can listen at once.

Easy to use touch-screen controls

The screen has nice quality

It has a rechargeable battery. To recharge just hook up to your computer and turn the player on.

You can rip songs from CD's and put them on the player.

CONS

Cannot play or convert songs or videos that you buy from another site.

Non-expandable memory 128 MB

Screen scratches kind of easily.

This is a great purchase that wont let you down. The Pros definetly make up for the Cons and it has a GREAT price ($80). So buy it now and you won't be disapointed!
