Great earphones but you do get what you paid for. [Posted on 2008-06-29] I got a pair of these for a gift. I would say that they sound great for the price they are. They sound amazing, great bass and clear highs. Also very loud and blocks out a good deal of noise. The only problem I had was that they only lasted me a month before the right side went out on me. Obviously, they don't last. I am a student and I constantly am pulling them out of my pocket and all. My friends have also gone through pairs in a short period of times as well. Well, awesome sound, but not reliable.
ear phones [Posted on 2008-07-07] I ordered Smokin Bud earphones, which arrived in a timely fashion and in perfect working order.
Wow [Posted on 2008-07-08] Well, I read the reviews and they alone convinced me to try these, but I was not expecting how good they actually sound. First off, the noise reduction is really good, mainly due to the fact they create a sort of suction. (I'm listening to my Zune with them now and can barely hear the clicking of my keys). However, because of this, if you talk or make a noise with your mouth, even breathing, it's basically in your ear, annoying at times, but so what? Anyway, on top of the noise reduction, you get an AMAZING bass boost, and I mean, wow. It's perfect for listening when riding on the bus or when you're somewhere where you want your music to be the only thing you hear. However, even when the music isn't playing, you still get he noise reduction, so I've found I have to take them out to hear anything at work, even if I only have one in. So, you wouldn't want to even wear them in a place where you do need to hear other things occasionally, heh. Overall, I would recommend these to anyone who likes music or isolation from sound.
A little disappointed [Posted on 2008-07-11] I had heard really good things about these, but when I got them and tried them out the sound was horrible. There was almost no base. My stock ipod ear buds sounded better than these. I was tempted to return them but I decided to give them another chance, but I still haven't. Really bummed about it.
