Sony MDR-IF240RK Wireless Headphone System
I bought it becuase it is cheap, 3rd SONY IF headphones for myself and i have tried several brands and other wireless technology before and I am stickign with IF and after 10 minutes researching. The only reason i need to get this becuase the old one's battery is dead.
I did tried to just order the specail Battery from SONY but it is not worth the wait, hassle and time.
And the new battery SONY sent me didnt last hald as long as the first one. it is understand-able since if they dont make the model no more, why would i expect to get a fresh battery for a 15 years old product.
There are only 3 , all form SONY and ibought the lightestest one.
I really want to know if i am willing to pay 3-4 times the price, do i get the 3-4 time sound quality back and i am pretty sure I did the right choice. I am fairly into Car stereo and I do have a high demand in nice/good sound quality. I saw those 299 or 300 big set of SONY IF headphone, I am not gonna wear such a big headphone and try to feel comfortable in my seat at home watching Movie and playing loud games on my 65" while my woman is trying to sleep. This 45 piece will just do the right job and it will last me a long time for sure.I know since i have used sony product for a long time. It does not comes in a big/heavy haedphone, not big box shape transmitter which only take more room(room is expensive if you have all consoles, 7.1 channel reciver) , and the most important is gettign the same 30mm size headphone for extra 250$.
If anyone who bought this SONY IF240 and have also tried other expensive model /different brand, please reply to share experience.
I highly recommend this product for games and movies, if u want perfect sound quality, throw in 10k to your car stereo, it will comes out better then you spending 100k at home.
This headphone is good enough for 99% population, not for DJs or those who is willing to spend more then 10k for a subwoofer.

It was difficult to pick what set was the best overall. I went on name brand and price. Both were a good choice. These phones work well in front of the TV and thats all I expected. However charging them is another story. When you put them back in the cradle the charging light will not light until they are exactly on the contacts. So you may have to do a little fishing to get them to charge. Other then that they work fine.

these aren't the greatest headphones out there, but for the price they get the job done. Battery life is excellent. My only real complaint is the "noise" they make when you turn them up, but if you turn, for example, the tv up rather than the headphones, its not too bad. These are what I would expect for the price. The 'free shipping' is slow.... :( so if you choose that option be prepared to wait.

Produce works great. I bought so I could listen to the tv while my partners sleeps and have been very satisfied with the sound volume.

I bought these headphones for my husband so he could keep the TV volume at a normal level when everyone else was in bed. They work great, and I've even used them myself a time or two. The sound quality is good, and it's so nice to not have to strain to hear the TV if someone is sleeping! Operation is very simple, as well as re-charging the batteries.
