As you probably know, there aren't many cradle systems for Sony Walkman MP3 players. I bought a series 818 Walkman and wanted something that would recharge the player and allow me to listen to tunes at the same time. I have this system in my large cathedral-ceiling great room, so it has a big job to do. It would be great in a smaller space. The subwoofer goes on the floor, out of sight, and the speaker unit with remote is easy to use. I also have a line-in from my laptop so that I can listen to internet radio stations and that works well. The sound is what you'd expect from a low-watt system, but the separate subwoofer helps considerably.
Overall, if you're looking for a fabulous stero system, this isn't it. If you're looking for a great solution for recharging your Walkman and listening to your music at the same time, say in an office or bedroom, this works much better than the other Sony Cradle Speaker system (which doesn't have a subwoofer). I would buy it again.
