Seller Delivers on Promises [Posted on 2007-02-22] Company refunded $ when I pointed out that Shipping and Handling charges seemed excessive, even though the charges were not from them but their supplier. They made it right - They seem to be somebody who really wants to have a top-notch reputation. I would buy from them again.
Universal??? [Posted on 2007-05-24] Did not have an easy time with this "universal" device. Was able to configure my television (JVC) and my DVD Player (Sony), but only able to work partial functions on my Yamaha Receiver for home theatre. Was not able to operate any functions on my Scientific Atlanta digital cable box (time warner). I contacted Sony tech support to attempt a resolution, but they said it looks like "you may have to use your original remote for this device". After this device I purchased the KameleonONE FOR ALL KAMELEON 8 Universal Remote Control remote control. Worked perfectly! Spend the money on something you use every day.
Worthless [Posted on 2007-05-26] The instructions are confusing, and even when you do follow them, the remote doesn't work particularly well, not even with Sony products for which it is supposed to be pre-programmed. Also, the seller charges an outrageous shipping and handle fee, more than the cost of the item. Does not work at all for me.
Good remote [Posted on 2007-05-26] Strange that some people are saying this remote is "worthless". I guess these people are too technically challenged, or could not be bothered to actually learn how to use this remote. It's not very difficult to use and all I can say to these people is RTFM. Good luck to you guys using ANY remote at all if you couldn't handle using this one...
The secret to using any "learning" remote, like this one, is to throw the device codes out the window. Never use a device code with a learning remote, there's no need and it works better if you don't. Simply program every button you need from the original remotes signals. That's why you buy a "learning" remote isn't it? Forget the codes. It may seem like a pain, but you will have a remote that does EXACTLY what YOU want, not one that behaves like the codes think it should.
Plus learning remotes can control just about any IR device. Celing fans, window blinds, switch boxs, thermostats, whatever. If it has a remote that uses a regular IR signal (most things do) you can have this remote learn its functions. Shame on those people for putting down such a useful tool.
I bought this remote over 3 years ago and absolutely love it. My only problem with it is I am outgrowing it and would like a few more buttons. Even having simple track forward and back buttons would be much better, but for the price this remote is a great deal for how well it works.
Well even though I'm looking for something newer with a few more buttons, I still love this remote and have so for years. If you don't want to bother having to teach a remote the buttons you need or are too mentally challenged to do so then stay away from all learning remotes... If however you can handle very easy to follow instructions and want a remote that can be tailored to your EXACT needs this remote is a tremendous BARGIN!

Wow, this is discontinued or something becuase the price is crazy high now. I think it normally sold for like $15 or $20 which you could probably get on wheebay.
Excellent Remote [Posted on 2007-08-28] This a practical choice for anyone interested in programming multiple devices. I have owned it for three years and is has proved very reliable. The custom programming, via macros, makes any command from almost any remote easy.
