The Hands Down Winner for iPod car chargers.

Does everything it says it should and all my friends say I'm over the top with my iPod!

I love this item because when I shut off my car, the iPod pauses- so the hard drive doesn't keep spinning. Very nice feature that extends the life of my iPod.

The blue light gives the inside of my car a cool blue glow.

This is a gotta have accessory if you've got a phat ride that deserves nothing but the best.

I needed an auto charger for my ipod for long car trips. First and foremost I wanted something reliable since everything out there is expensive and I didn't want to buy a replacement like I have had to with crappy cell phone chargers. I did some research by reading the reviews on the actual Apple store website and was SHOCKED to learn that all of the ipod chargers out there (except for this one) had horrible reviews of frying and/or melting the ipod!!! Can you believe that!? I was not about to risk frying my $300 investment.

This charger is just a little more expensive than all the other ones but entirely reliable. That in itself is worth the money; the bonus is that it has a lot of value-added detailing, such as the leather housing and the cool blue glowy light when you plug it in. What's great is that it senses when you turn off your car and automatically puts your ipod on pause so you won't drain the battery. My only gripe is that it's black so it doesn't match my white ipod and the cigarette lighter plug seems to be a tight fit in my car, though that could very well be my car and not the charger. All in all this is a great product and definitely worth the money.

What else can I say that's not in the product description. It does exactly what it's supposed to do. It charges the ipod. I've only had it for a few weeks and used it maybe 2 or three times, so I can't really comment on the longevity of the product. The blue LED looks nice, and the design fits well into the rest of the car's interior. I would recommend this product if you want something practical and not something that looks overly 'TECHY' sticking out of your dash.
