Decent Clock Radio [Posted on 2007-07-20]
For a clock radio, this has acceptable sound and the usual functions, plus the ability to dock your iPod as well. My only gripe, and it's a big one, is that when you have the radio playing, the time display turns into a radio frequency display. It's an either/or situation. If you're listening to the radio, the device will not tell you the time. This is a major flaw in a clock radio. Add to that the fact you have to manually turn the alarm setting on/off (no 5day/2day setting), and you have a very inconveniently featured device. Too bad, because it looks good, appears to be well made, and I'd recommend it were it not for what I consider to be fatal flaws for its intended purpose. But, if my issues aren't issues for you, this is a good choice.

This is a nice product but the foot print is too big. I suppose it's a perfect footprint for a bedside table if you're afraid of it tipping over but if you want to plant it in the kitchen, then it's a bit big

We bought this on a super black Friday sale about 2 years ago. We have docks all over the place, and this is one we both really like. Unfortunately for us, it recently started malfunctioning. The ipod would play for a minute or two then the whole system would shut off. I called jensen and asked them nicely to fix it for free, even though it's usually $20 to send it in. They told me if I mailed it, they would in fact fix it for free. Well, I just got it back, and then didn't fix it, they sent me a brand new one! I was very happy to see that and can now feel more confident in the brand.
I'm so happy it's back because we'd both been going to use it and then getting sad when we realize its not there -- we have it in the kitchen. It is large and flat, so if you don't want to take up a ton of space you might want to look elsewhere. I love having the remote control so I don't have to touch the dock with dirty hands when cooking. The sound is full and bold. I use it mainly for ipod, my boyfriend likes it for that as well as the AM radio. Easy to use and charges your ipod.
