Customer Reviews:

This particular order includes three managers [Posted on 2006-04-18]
Just as an fyi- this particular product: "SUMAJIN Smartwraps Earphone Cord Manager" is actually a set of three cord managers. This is a good thing, but I was a little confused because when I ordered, I saw three managers pictured. However, nowhere on the page does it say how many you get when you buy (Or, at least, I was unable to find that information).

Handy, Light wieght, useful item. Wish I'd thought of it. [Posted on 2006-08-10]
I love these. When I got my first IPOD, pre click wheel, I used the wired "remote" that came with the IPOD which made a tangled mess of wires and headphones. I thought to myself, if only there was a way of keeping things from getting tangled and tied up. Sometimes I had my IPOD in my front shirt pocket, sometimes on a belt, other times, in a lower pocket on carge type pants, so the length of wire I needed varied according to my outfit. At the end of the day, I'd find myself untangling the wired remote from the headphone wire especially when using the top shirt pocket.

One day while searching Ebay for a retractable firewire cord for my IPOD, I ran across this useful little wrap. It was being sold by someone in Australia. The price of shipping was high for just one unit, and after contacting the seller, I learned that he would combine shipping costs for up to 8 of them. I knew a lot of friends with Ipods, I used different headphones depending on my environment, so I went ahead and bought 8. Glad I did. Everyone I gave one to as a gift three years ago are still using theirs. And even though I've reduced the number of headphones I use to one, and dropped the wired remote once the click wheel Ipod came out, I still place my Ipod in different pockets or on a belt. This neat little wrap keeps my cord from being tangled, is easily adjusted and has helped me from breaking the thin wires on my ERI6 headphones. They are light, durable, washable, and best of all, come in different colors to match almost any IPOD case or headphone wire color. Now, if only I was that inventive.

Less is More [Posted on 2007-01-15]
One of the best accessories I've seen for the iPod: they are small, inexpensive, durable, unobtrusive, simple, effective, protect the wires for your earphones from bad habits (like wrapping them around your iPod) and they are even good looking. They have helped to protect my AUDIO OUTFITTERS SX50 ezEars Earphones for the Apple iPod for well over a year. Look just fine with a new iPod or my old Apple 20 GB iPod M8741LL/A (2nd Generation.) Couldn't be better.

Perfect for storing earbuds [Posted on 2007-08-05]
I had bought a similar product from Wal-mart (except shaped more like a 3-dimensional hourglass) and discovered to my horror that it was crushing the cables of my favorite earbud headphones because the slots were too tight. Every time I slid the cables in they would get pinched and crushed. So I quit using it and with some trepidation bought this product. Well, this one is made just right. I can slide the cables into the slots and they don't get crushed at all, since the slots are loose enough. So I would highly recommend this product.

Nice Product, But Not What I Need... [Posted on 2008-01-12]
The Sumajin Smartwraps are definitely a quality product. Very well made and the shipping/service was first rate.

But maybe the Smartwrap is too well-made. It's just a bit too heavy. I bought this with the intent of using it to manage the ear-bud cord for my iPod Nano, which I wear on my arm while working out. If I don't safety-pin the whole shebang to the front of my shirt, it'll bounce all over while I'm running (pulling the buds out of my ears) or get in the way while working with weights. If they integrated an alligator clip or some other method of securing the unit, it'd probably be perfect.

So I give the Smartwraps a solid 4 stars for being really good at what they do but knock a star off for not filling my particular need very well.
