Customer Reviews:

Made in USA- great! Actual quality, so-so. [Posted on 2007-08-24]
In some ways I'm very impressed by these little CD racks. the leading one being the packaging I got said made in USA. I was astounded by this. I did not think we made anything here anymore, and for that reason alone I'm keeping these racks. However the actual quality of them is nothing to be impressed with. As other reviewers say, they are quite flimsy and will warp if you try to stack them, plus the stacking grooves do not lock in place, which is not good. I do like the slots for 2 disc collections, but honestly I picked upDomino 45 CD or 21 DVD Media Storage this rack by Atlantic at my local K-Mart, and though it is made in China, it is made of much sturdier, nicer plastic and will lock into place when stacked. Now don't get me wrong, I'm for buying American whenever possible, but when the quality truly isn't there, it just doesn't add up. I really wish I couldn't reach that conclusion, but there you go.

Exactly what I was looking for. [Posted on 2007-09-03]
I am so glad that I found this for storing my CDs. I store my unmounted rubber stamps (with EZ Mount foam) in the standard CDs. I have been looking all over for exactly this system. The "gaps" that a previous reviewer mentions can still be used. I just put two CDs in those slots. The storage case is fairly sturdy and they stack nicely. I like that when I take a CD out, I know where it goes back in because there's an open slot. I had previously been using wood crates from a big box craft store. I'd take a CD out and since there aren't any slots for the CDs, I'd lose the spot where the CD would go back in alphabetically. It was just a pain to keep them sorted. I'm glad this item qualifies for free shipping because then this doesn't matter that I can't find it locally. We have pretty much all of the big box stores nearby (Fargo) but no one carries this specific type of storage.

CD Holder [Posted on 2007-10-03]
This CD holder is durable,it holds a good amount of CD's!!
I would say this is a good buy if you have alot of CD's to store!!
I rate this product a 10 from 1to10!!

Out, damn slot! [Posted on 2008-01-03]
"High rollers" generally don't waste their time (and money) on slots, but the space situation is so critical in my office I decided it was time to clean up some of the extra CD stacks (can't bring myself to simply store them as files on my computer and stash away all the metal, plastic and paper in the attic). I've got space between shelves that's perfect for accommodating two rows of these cases stacked horizontally. Nothing more need be said except that--like a number of CD racks, trays, storage drawers--the darn slots are a chronic nuisance if you believe in organizing your CD's alphabetically, chronologically, or in any system whatsoever. The "house rules" for these slot loaders practically forbid any sort of modifications to the order without "reslotting" the whole line-up each time you choose to add a new CD. Moreover, the slots are simply unnecessary: widely-spaced dividers will maintain the composure of your CD pile just as securely. If I had to do it over again (which I will when I have some more time), no more slots! Look for the racks without them if yours is a winning collection. Imagine playing poker and having to place each chip in its own separate slot. Only for losing players--as are slotted trays.

good enough for what it is [Posted on 2008-02-06]
As previous reviewers have noted, this storage rack is not as heavily-built as some other racks from the heyday of CDs. However, it is a cheap way to organize the CDs cluttering your bookshelf. Now, if only this manufacturer would get back to basics and once again start making the big, simple 180+ CD capacity racks that one used to be able to buy everywhere.
