Suprising Performance [Posted on 2007-10-13] WOW! This thing works great! I bought this unit, trying to find a cheaper alternative to buying a new CD player/stereo for the car. This is perfect. I read some other reviews on this product before I bought it and expected mediocre performance. Some of the other reviews you will find when researching this product aren't that great... (too much static, hard to fit under the dashboard... etc.) I wonder if they've read their owner's manual? There are two broadcast power settings and the head swivels. I am in a heavilly saturated radio market (making finding an empty frequency difficult) and in the higher power setting, I have to be right on a broadcast tower, set to the exact frequency I am trying to use for it to interupt my music. There is also a loop play and a random play function. This is a fantastic piece of machinery that holds as much music as whatever jump drive I'm using will hold. No batteries, no moving parts. Thumbs up!
very handy [Posted on 2008-01-24] Great device with a nice feature of accepting any USB storage.
However, I noticed the reception wasn't that great so I added my home-made antenna to get almost perfect reception.
I use about 5 ft of wire.
1. Wrap one end of the wire around the device 5 or 6 times.
2. Run the remain wire around your car, I go up to the rear view mirror, loop around and tie the other end of the wire around the passenger side ceiling handle.
Works great now!!
