this is a great product and nifty too

I bought this exact item from a different site with the desire to simply listen to audiobooks and podcasts as I work. So musical sound quality and range was of little importance, since I would be listening to the human voice speaking. This little speaker, however has the most harsh sounding quality that I literally got a headache when I tried to listen to a podcast. It's so tinny sounding, and doesn't have near enough volume to listen to outdoors where I work. If you've ever owned a little transistor radio as a kid (I'm 47), remember the weak harshness of that radio and then imagine 10 times worse sound. I just can't emphasize how incredibly bad sounding these are! If you have to get cheap speakers for your mp3 player, go for the square fold-up type on Amazon, they're much much better, otherwise have some ibuprofin handy, you'll need it.
