Better Understanding Of Instructions [Posted on 2007-11-21] I just love the big keypad and the size of the remote itself however, I've been struggling with getting it in sync with my TV and DVD player. I would get more of this type of remote control but I'm working on getting an enlarged version of it but it won't be finished until after Thanksgiving. Everyone should be able to read and understand what to do to program their remote and that's what I'm trying to do.
nice product [Posted on 2007-12-31] I bought this to save the fighting over who hid the remote. It's huge!! Doesn't get lost in the couch, and it's easy to spot when the kids run off with it. I laugh every time I see it. It was sort of a gag gift to my husband, the primary remote control keeper.
I was able to program my tv, sat, dvd, and vcr into it. (The first remote I have ever had that worked for everything) It was easier to program that the directv remote.
The only drawbacks to this remote I have found is that the "go back" button doesn't work on our satellite. Also, it's primarily in the satellite mode for channel changing, but the volume is on the t.v., meaning we have to switch to "t.v." for volume control then back to "sat". Not a serious issue but something I liked on the old remote. I would buy this again!! Great gift!!
Worthless- Doesn't have codes for major brands [Posted on 2007-12-31] My uncle got one for Christmas and I couldent find the code for Alba, a major brand of topbox. His TV Fernandes was also not available for the remote. I tried manually every code it had in its memory and it still did not work. It is worthless......
Huge, worthless remote with an unreadable tiny manual [Posted on 2008-01-29] So, ya get yer granny a remote 'causn she kaint read the buttons on her itty bitty 'mote? Well then, you'd better be ready to help her set it up, because the manual is so tiny it is hard to read even with bifocals!
Having tried all the steps to set it up with her ZENITH television, it still wouldn't work. So, the "last ditch effort" is their "no fail method" (Uh, why didn't you mention that IN THE FIRST PLACE???) No matter. . .it didn't work either.
Fortunately, it didn't cost her anything. But someone else wasted their money...
