I boughtt this item from Tiger Direct. It arrived earlier than it was supposed to and in excellent condition. Sad to say, it stopped working just as fast. It arrived in the morning, I charged four of the six AAA cells that came with it. The four red Leds came on indicating that it was charging. After about five hours, three of the Leds changed to green, indicating that they were fully charged. One remained red. I removed it from the wall outlet, took out all four cells and decided to charge four of the AA cells. within five minutes I observed the four LEDS flashing, indicating that they could not be charged. I removed it from the outlet and inserted the other two AAA cells. After about five minutes, the LEDS started flashing again, indicating that they could not be charged. The batteries charge perfectly with a new charger which I bought. Maybe I got a defective product. I do not know, but you be the judge. If you want to charge four AAA cells for one use, than go ahead and buy this product. However, if you plan to charge them more than once, than buy another chagrer. I found that out the hard way. I had to buy another chagrer. After all, I am stuck with the batteries.

Portable, easy to carry during travel..
But Batteries recharging is taking little bit more time...

Do not waste your time and money buying this worst Ultra product!
On third recharge, batteries started leaking out the liquids and the charger is over-heating. No proper response from the manufacturer, Ultra!
So, please do not go for this. If you spend little bit more, you will get a good quality one.

Good charger. Ok batteries? [Posted on 2007-09-27]
I bought this charger and 4 batteries over 9 months ago. Used them frequently and successfully for 5 months in the portable breast pump that my wife used.
Now I have a Pentax k100d digital camera. I thought these 2500mah would work better than the 1800mah duracell rechargeables I have but as soon as put into camera fully charged Ultra batteries, it let me take few pictures and the next day, the camera shows no juice left. I know this digital SLR demands high performance but these Ultra batteries are failing. After I take out these batteries from Pentax, I am able to use them for long in toys, flashlights etc.
Now I have bought Energizer 2500mah, so I should be able to give a better evaluation of Ultra betteries in few days.
