So far, so good! [Posted on 2007-04-11] We bought this for our HDTV to protect it when the power goes out/voltage changes. It has worked wonderuflly so far, but we have only had to deal with voltage changes, no power outage yet. We have found it to be worth the money so far.
Had it for about a week and it seems to be GREAT [Posted on 2007-06-19] I will update this review after we have been in a hurricane!! LOL
This unit seems to run great with 0 problems!Only time will tell
But for now I am extremely pleased
Exactly what I expected [Posted on 2007-07-09] What more is there to say, The software is easy to use, works with my os, windows xp. I've had issues before of ups outlet plugs breaking with different brands... this one appears to use standard power outlets.. much like what you would find in your house.... So I doubt they will break loose from the shell of the ups, mostly metal which helps heat dissipation. All in all a product I can say I am proud of owning.
Great UPS and best watt per dollar! [Posted on 2008-06-17] This is a great UPS for the price! You get plenty of watts per dollar. The UPS monitoring software works flawlessly with Vista x64. I have gone through 4 power line failures due to storms and this baby kicks right in! The UPS emailed me about my line power failure and emailed me again when my line power was restored! Great! The email tech support was fast and courteous. Highly recommended! AAA+++
Not recommended at all [Posted on 2008-10-12] I am using it with Vista. When Vista hibernates the monitoring software (USB connection) looses the connection with the UPS. When you return to your computer you have to "wake-up" the connection. Which is necessary to shutdown the computer when there is a blackout. Running a UPS without the monitoring software doesn't make sense.
After this wake-up call the UPS starts peeping and you can only reset it by turning the UPS OFF. Of course, you got to turn off the computer as well before doing that.
What is that UPS good for then?
I don't recommend this UPS at all. I bought this one ( CyberPower CP1350AVRLCD UPS ) at Amazon and it works well.
