My lowest review of a product yet [Posted on 2007-06-14] Don't get me wrong. I've been purchasing Ultra memory for years and yet when I tried to upgrade my system with the same memory it failed to even post. The memory was fine. Even called Ultra support and they gave me an incompatibility number and said buy something else. Well.. not in those words but you get the idea.
I ended up returning it, scrapping the Ultra memory I already have and purchased two Kingston 1 gig sticks. Yeah. Life is good now :D
It works! [Posted on 2007-08-27] I have 3x512's now, but my mobo made me slap in a 256 or another stick or it would limit me to only 512 total ram...odd, but anyway i have 1.5 gigs of ram and once i get another 30 bucks i am gonna get another one to make an even 2 gigs. Be warned it is single sided :P
No more crawling. [Posted on 2008-10-13] Doesn't overheat, snapped right in, and sped up the desktop. This has been in the computer for about 6 months now. It is wonderful. Time to catch up to the new stuff.
low price high performance [Posted on 2008-10-17] Very nice memory. Now I have 1gb of ram.Memory runs at 3200 very high performance now I see 10-15 fps improvement in my games.
Crysis
World in conflict
Call of duty 4
All very playable now
Less filling, tastes great [Posted on 2008-10-21] I just added a stick of this to match the stick that I already had in my Asus K8V SE Deluxe motherboard, and I've had no problems with them.
This wasn't on the list of RAM that was confirmed to work with my board, but it works fine, and was cheaper than the better known brands.
I had never heard of Ultra before I purchased the original stick, but now I trust their RAM to be a quality product.
This was a cheap and easy way to speed up my old computer, and was well worth the money.
If you're not that familiar with your motherboard, or your RAM, make sure that you are getting the right kind. With so many types and speeds, it is easy to get the wrong one, and some boards are pickier than others about what they will recognize and run.
There are a ton of buyer's guides and articles online that will help you to sort it out, and once you know what you need, it's easy to pop it in there.
