Works as described [Posted on 2008-08-05] I bought this headset because my husband enjoys watching TV before bed, I don't AND he likes the TV loud. So loud that I cannot fall asleep without constantly telling him to turn it off or go to another room. So to allow myself to go to sleep and him to enjoy his late night television, I bought this for his birthday. It works very well, installed quickly and we have no complaints! I was worried about outside interference as we have 2 computers in our room and this has caused no problems. I personally didn't do any of the installation for this item, but within moments he was happily watching something, so it can't be too tough. We also have direct tv and a sling box and have encountered no interference or trouble getting reception. Overall, for a fair price I would highly recommend these headphones for a great way to allow each person to have a night they prefer, whether that be sleeping or watching television!
Unisar Sounds [Posted on 2008-08-09] It works fine and is reasonably priced, in fact lots less than a couple of similar products we found locally. You do get shshsh sound if you're a certain angle to the right or left of where the device sits on your TV (I'd say roughly 45 degrees to either side).
IMHO STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY... [Posted on 2008-09-04] the national bureau and stds time towers literally sit outside my window in northern colorado, approx. one mile distant. unfortunately these headphones pickup up the time beeping VERY loud and clearly, actually almost deafening. unless you set within 2 feet of the transmitter they are worthless." in closing i should add that the company selling this product did not like hearing the truth as written in my initial review. i told them twice due to my location near the radio towers, that. that in itself likely had the greatest negative impact on the poor sound reception quality. however they did not approve of my review sent me a rude email and specifically instructed me to change and alter my original review so as to cover up the headphones short comings. so what good is a review if it is not an honest one or is written according to the instructions provided by the manufacturer? IMHO STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY...
Wireless Headphones [Posted on 2008-09-15] Light weight, comfortable, excellent clear sound, good range of sound level adjustment, not total sound isolation. Easy to install on TV. Got two sets; for two TV's.
Wireless headphones [Posted on 2008-09-21] I had purchased wireless headphones before, but they were able to pick up phone calls, radio stations etc (when I didn't want them). These are infrared and produce good, clear, nonstatic sound from the TV. I am not sure how long the foam cover on the earpieces will last, and as batteries don't last long I bought rechargeable ones. So far, though, I am very satisfied.
