Best of both worlds (hard and silicon case) [Posted on 2007-12-26]
I was looking for a silicone case for grip purposes. These 3rd gen nanos are so tiny they can slip right from your hand. However, I worried about my LCD screen as I know they scratch easy. This solved both the issues. The silicon cover slips on then the hard front snaps on over that. Clickwheel is covered by a super thin layer of the silicon cover which covers all but the screen. display screen and front is covered by the hard snap on extra piece.
The only thing exposed is the bottom where the jack and usb port is.
I was looking to buy the speck brand toughskin as I heard its the best as far as silicon/hard plastic combos go but this was the closest thing I could find in-store locally. It does the job.

I bought this because I need something that would take the punishment.
It's alright but I found some problems. The window around the silicone case pulls out and gets hooked up on the clear windshield, that's happened a couple of times. The clear shield has fallen off a couple of times. I'm going back to SwitchEasy polycarbonate Biscuit case. It's way tougher, easier to use and better looking. Another good thing about the SwitchEasy is that it comes with its own lanyard and Ipod charging base.
