I purchased the dock because I dont like laying the zune down and to keep it out of the way when I charge it and sync it. I also like that the wall plug comes with this kit because you can use it with either the dock or the plug that comes with the Zune itself so you can charge it away from your computer. I honestly think i killed my laptop battery charging my cell phone and bluetooth earpiece so this is a handy alternative and I will go as far as to say an required assessory for your generation 2 zune. Also amazon price is better then Zune marketplace. FYI!

The quality of the overall product is great, it does exactly what it claims to do and does it well. The only reason that I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 was that it should have came with the Zune in the first place.
