My boyfriend got this speaker for me last month so that I could listed to music at work since my computer here doesn't have speakers. The size was great, and the sound quality was good, although, I don't know how it would rate sound-wise if it is played above acceptable cubicle level. Yesterday, the static started, and today the popping of the speakers completely drowns out the music. I checked the batteries and cable, and they were fine. When it actually worked (the one month I've had it), it was great, but I wouldn't recommend it and would suggest purchasing a better quality speaker.

This is the third set of speakers I bought on which to listen to my Sirius Stiletto. The first two, including Sony's portable speakers, were just too quiet. The iHome speakers are definitely better. I still can't get the volume up quite as high as I would like, but it's close enough. The only drawback besides that is it kind of eats up the batteries rather quickly. I'm currently looking for a universal AC adapter so I can plug it in and not have to worry about changing the batteries every month. It would have been nice if it came with one.

When I first got this I loved it. It had decent sound and was light and portable- allowing me to carry from one room to the other. It doesn't need a power outlet, just batteries. It is also versatile and compatible with all MP3's. However, the speakers blew suddenly and now the static and popping completely drowns out my music. It is useless now. Literally, it worked one day, and the next day it didn't. I've only had it for a couple months and am really disappointed. Don't buy this if you like to listen to your music loud. Spend more money and get something that is quality and will last. I'm going to.
Not worth you're money. [Posted on 2008-06-17]
I got this iHome, and it was working fine. I really liked it. The bass was good, and it worked perfectly. After about 2 weeks the bass went out. I couldn't turn it up very high with out it adding static. It still worked though, so I still used it. Then a week later I turned it on and it wouldn't work at all with out static. It sounds like crap.

I bought this, concerned that the sound quality would no be so good. Surprisingly, it is great, esp. for the price!!
The only reason I did not give this 5 stars was because there is no way to plug this into an outlet. You must use 4 AAA batteries.
