Missing Basics/Bad Speakers [Posted on 2008-04-21]
The idea of this device is good but they failed on a few things which are very annoying when laying in bed listening to music. The first is when an ipod is docked and music is playing the blue backlight kicks into extra bright and there is no dimming option. It lights up the room like a small lamp. Secondly, at lower volumes like 3 or below you can hear speaker noise. I tried 3 ipods and I replaced the model once and the same thing occured. If it were not for those two annoyances I would have kept it.
At higher volumes the sound quality is pretty good and the remote works really well. I'd recommend it more for the office or a kitchen though and not as something to be placed in the bedroom.
