Great for long flights [Posted on 2007-07-31] I used this on a long flight to Hong Kong when the video system was out on the airline. Rather than looking at a map of my plane barely moving over the Pacific Ocean for 13 hours, I watched video podcasts, listened to audio podcasts and music, and pretty much giggled my way through the flight. The battery adds quite a bit of weight to the iPod but that isn't unexpected. The neoprene sleeve is a little difficult to remove, but not enough to take away a star.
Excellent Product [Posted on 2007-08-24] I used this for a 5 hour flight and my iPod was still fully charged when I reached my destination. Well worth the cost and the added size to your iPod.
Worth the by [Posted on 2007-08-27] It has held up to what it has said. I have been using it in Iraq borrowing others, to the point I Bought one of my own. The only thing that I wish is had is a strap to attach it to your arm, but everything is not tailored to what you want. Worth the buy.
Excellent accessory [Posted on 2008-02-16] This is a great battery add-on for my 5G iPod. It's sleek, attaches securely, and protects, all while giving me more than enough juice for a transatlantic flight. Two notes, though: 1) it does add a fair amount of weight, but I found that offset by the convenience, and 2) make sure to charge both the iLuv and the iPod fully before you head out. This will recharge your battery, but it also seems to drain over time, so if you let it sit more than a few days you may find it's empty.
