Not a standard mini USB jack [Posted on 2008-10-20] The part that plugs into the phone is not a standard mini USB jack, & will not fit phones requiring one. Don't try to force it in there or you'll break your expensive phone.
a little tricky, but works for htc mogul 6800 [Posted on 2008-10-26] it is very snug and fits nicely, but at first i thought it didn't work. nothing played. i thought it was because i have the new rom, but i saw the other review from the person with a htc 6800 mogul.
after reading his post, it does work!!! you play the music first, plug in the adapter, then plug in the ear phones. thanks!!!!!!
Does not work with IPAQ 910c Business Messenger as advertised [Posted on 2008-10-27] I ordered this because it came up when I typed in IPAQ 910c Business Messenger. It is very close, but not the same plug. So it did not work. Had to return it. I am out shipping costs both ways.
Cheap, does the job [Posted on 2008-10-27] It's a little big, but it was cheap and it does the job. I'm only a little scared that it will tweak the connector on the phone. **not for jeans pockets**
I plan on leaving this in my car with the car charger attached, feeding my aux input on my car stereo.
I would consider buying the pigtail version of this if I were to buy again, but those don't have a place to plug in sync/power.
Works Well, with Modification even on a XV6800 [Posted on 2008-10-31] I got this knowing it wasn't directly compatible with the XV6800. I wanted a way to use my audio, as well as change and/or sync my phone. Especially in my car, I wanted a 3.5mm jack and be able to use my car charger.
Needless to say, I found this link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=376623&page=2 which showed me how to modify the adapter to fix the htc 6800 flaw people have been experiencing. I bent the appropriate pin down, and cut it off with an hobby knife, and poof... works beautiful 100%.
I don't like the dongle/cord type adapters because they are always too fragile. This looks like its going to stand up to more abuse.
4 stars because, as someone else mentioned, it disabled the microphone so you have to disconnect to to be able to use the phone as a phone. (Which is standard for EVERY adapter I've found).
Cheers!
So, with modification xv6800 works great. Sure it might with other htc 6800s.
