After a year the player died... [Posted on 2005-11-21] For months the player worked well. It had excellent quality, good reception on radio, and the new UMS feature made it quick and easy to transfer files from and onto a computer. Overall, the player lived up to expectations....until it died. The screen went blank and nothing I did could fix it.
If you do get this player get Amazon's 10$ warranty, or get a non-flash player (Iriver H10). Don't let this happen to you.
Amazingly small, don't take it to a brawl [Posted on 2005-12-08] This player was a very good learning experience for me in the world of electronics. Learning to use the features to their full expectations made the whole experience worthwhile. I thought this device was an appeal to joggers and runners, where it would least fit them, as this series does break easily, only had mine for about 4 months before the power button became stubborn, and turning the device on required a great deal of pressure to it. after two months of nearly squeezing it to its death, it finally gave up and I was very pooped. I came into contact with iriver and could not have a replacement from the company itself(based in Korea) but had to return to the original store of purchase and work a replacement plan. Never did, but I am seeking to buy another one of these devices.
Very pleased while it lasted [Posted on 2006-02-18] This was the 3rd MP3 player I had bought and I was very happy to see it function and work like I wanted it to. The software was also very easy to use. But I guess things like these aren't expected to last a helluva long time and the "back" button/direction on joystick stopped working after about 2 yrs of use. Yup....2 yrs! (Actually maybe a bit more than that.) So I'm not at all disppointed in the purchase, especially since I used it heavily on a daily basis at work, school, gym and home. I don't know if they sell this anymore but I think it'll last a long enough time until you find you want a newer model.
Poor Quality [Posted on 2006-06-04] My player died after 6 months of very light use at my desk. I would take quality problems into account before purchasing this product.
I River mp3 [Posted on 2007-03-09] Good sound and enough space and applications but not user friendly. I wouldn't buy this product again.
