The case itself works well. It fits snuggly and seems to be able to stand up to repeated armband use.
The screen protector is a semi-hard plastic, not a flimsy sheet, that fits without any trimming on the 80Gb Zune. There is a minor gap around the screen protector that leaves a sliver of the screen exposed if you do not use the silicone case for the entire Zune. The biggest problem was the packaging. The screen protector is a decal, with a back that fits the decal exactly. There are 2 pieces of tape on the screen protector, 1 attached to the decal (front) and 1 attached to the back. You use these pieces of tape to separate the 2 parts. The problem is that the tape leaves a noticeable sticky residue on the screen protector, and no amount of cleaning can remove it. I tried rubbing alcohol, but no luck. You can't scrape it off, or you ruin the protector. If the back was slightly larger, you could peel the protector off without needing the tape.

If you're looking for a simple protective sleeve for your 2nd gen Zune 80, this one is pretty good for the price. Only downside is there is a loop on one of the bottom corners for the lanyard to attach to. I'll never use the lanyard so I cut off the loop so it wouldn't interfere with plugging the Zune into the Zune A/V Docking Station.
I had the same problem as another reviewer regarding the sticky residue on the screen protector. After a week of use the residue had softened enough to just rub off. Not a big deal at all.
